The Sensaphone IMS-4000 host and node(s) communicate over the local area network. Each device connects to the network as an IP addressable device and communicate with one another via un-encoded commands and responses with TCP/IP.
The Murs Basestation M538BS has a NO dry contact relay on it which can be set to close when the M538BS receives an alert signal from a MURS transmitter. For this to happen the M538BS and whichever MURS transmitter you are using both need to be set to Channel 1 Sub Channel 1.

This would vary with wire gauges however as a general rule you could run a sensor up to 200 feet with 22AWG wire.
