Do the FloodStop controllers do a periodic cycling of the valves?

The FloodStop “controller” does a quick close/open cycling of the valve once per month. This is a self cleaning operation that insures any buildup (like calcium or scale) is wiped off. Note that this once a month cycling happens when the valve is in the open position, which in almost all cases it would be. The exception is if the owner has left the valve closed, in that case the Floodstop will not open the valve.
